Questions, answered.
What's free, and what needs Pro?
Free covers the full gradebook: weighted categories, attendance with monthly reports, roster import, scope and sequence drafting, standards tagging, terms and periods, calendars, search, CSV export, and an iCal feed your Google or Apple Calendar can subscribe to. You can plan your own lessons in the five-section template. The Smart features stay off until you upgrade. Pro adds the work that takes time: Plan-a-week from a single sentence, smart lesson plans and worksheets from one objective, sub plans in one click, analytic rubrics, report comments that cite specific assignments, parent summaries for WhatsApp or email, and PDFs of all of it. Upgrade from Settings.
How do I import my class roster?
Paste names from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV exported from your school system. The importer reads English or Spanish headers and dedupes against students you already have. Native integrations with Google Classroom, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, and Skyward are on the 2026 roadmap. Tell us which one your school uses at info@brinl.com so we sequence the right ones first.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription?
Any time. Monthly plans run through the end of the current billing period. Annual plans can be cancelled whenever. Pro access stays active until the annual period ends, and annual purchases are refundable within 14 days if Pro isn't right for you.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
It stays. Classes, students, grades, attendance, and every lesson you've written remain yours. You lose access to the Pro generation tools, not your work.
Is there a free trial?
Pro is free for 14 days. Cancel anytime in Settings to avoid the first bill. The free plan stays free, no card needed.
Do you offer pricing for schools or districts?
Yes. Volume pricing starts at 25 or more teachers. Email info@brinl.com for a quote.
What does 'grounded in research' actually mean?
Before drafting each lesson, Lessaro retrieves passages from a curated corpus of education research: IES practice guides, ERIC, TeachingWorks, and peer-reviewed meta-analyses. The plan is built around those sources, and the citations are public. See the sources.
